School is closed for the Christmas holidays from Monday 23rd December to Friday 3rd January (inclusive), and will re-open on Monday 6th January.

The school office is open from 8.30am to 4.00pm and the telephone number is 01282 614463.


Start times - pupils are to arrive from 8.45am onwards and must be in their classrooms by 8.55am, when lessons will commence.


Parents are to drop children off at the gate.


End of school day - pupils in Classes Pendle and Barley will finish at 3.25pm -any pupil who has an older sibling in school will wait in the school playground for their older sibling(s).


Pupils in Classes Marsden, Towneley and Wycoller will finish at 3.30pm.

Pointillism

Lesson: Art and design

Class: Wycoller Year: 2019-2020

Year six have been studying the work of Georges Seurat. Seurat was a French Post-Impressionist painter. Seurat painted for a time with the Impressionist painters, Claude Monet, Renoir, Sisley and Pissarro. His scientific ideas about colour then led him to develop a different painting technique - known as pointillism. We copied some of his paintings using cotton buds.
